About the Author
Dan Ehrenfeld is a doctoral candidate studying Rhetoric and Composition at the University of Massachusetts Amherst. His research interests include public rhetorics, textual circulation, media theory, genre, digital composing, basic writing pedagogy, and the rhetoric of health and medicine. He is a recipient of the Conference on College Composition and Communication's Chairs' Memorial Scholarship, the Rhetoric Society of America’s Michael Leff Award, and UMass Amherst’s Walker Gibson Prize. Before coming to the University of Massachusetts Amherst, he earned an MA in secondary education at Loyola Marymount University, where his research focused on culturally responsive pedagogies and theories of second language acquisition. Currently, he serves as the Basic Writing and Placement Coordinator for the UMass Writing Program.
