We are now "astride the
divide," rediscovering the essentials,
reconsidering the curriculum as it unfolds in a new
rhetorical space ... but it's tempting and easy to
bring the old cultural baggage with us ... this
reminds me of what James Bailey said in his book After
Thought, "If computers seem benign, it's
because we're not doing anything new with them
yet."
