The most common strategy for
technology integration is:
crisis => lurch => crisis => lurch =>
crisis => lurch
As far as strategies for educational change go, we
know that top-down and bottom-up only don't work
-- the infection model doesn't work, either. What will
work is to bring all three of those strategies
together, doing top-down, bottom-up, and infection at
the same time. Who's doing this? Epiphany and AAHE
Teaching and Learning with Technology Roundtables are
two examples that spring to mind ... Lots of wrong
decisions can't be avoided when technology is
changing so rapidly, but there are stupid decisions
that can be avoided with Roundtable support.
