Jonathan Pearson

Jonathan Pearson, 23, is a native of Dallas, Texas. After moving to Branson, Missouri, when he was 10 years old, Jonathan performed for seven years around the Branson area in many shows, working with such entertainers as Debby Boone, Jerry Van Dyke and the late Ed McMahon. By the time he was 12 years old, he recorded two albums to "sell to the little old ladies" at the shows and had performed at the United Nations in Vienna, Austria, during the Great American Music Festival.


Since 1997, Jonathan has toured the United States, performing in Los Angeles, New York, Boston, Washington, D.C., Dallas, Orlando, Kansas City, St. Louis, and Oklahoma City, just to name a few. He has studied piano, bassoon, trumpet and violin, winning numerous awards with his classical training. He was also a member of the Springfield (MO) Youth Symphony, which performed at Carnegie Hall, and the Conservatory Wind Ensemble at UMKC.

 

Jonathan graduated in May 2009 from the University of Missouri-Kansas City with a Bachelor of Arts in English with an emphasis in creative writing and a minor in Judaic studies on a $12,000 academic scholarship. He was the forum editor and assistant production manager for The University News, UMKC's own student-run newspaper, now in its 77th year. He now lives in Branson, Missouri, performing at the Shoji Tabuchi Show, and hopes to be a Christian recording artist and start his own ministry.
