In Chapter One of The Dialogic Classroom, we discuss a multimedia program, Litigation Strategies, that was built to address criticisms of legal training by many newly practicing attorneys. We cite "[o]ne researcher [who] noted a serious gap in the education of lawyers, a majority of whom complain that the study of law has little to do with the practice of law. Notwithstanding Moot Court, learning how to deal with living, breathing clients happens as a kind of apprenticeship--on the job" (5).
